The mindful path: terms and conditions

1. About the Course

The Mindful Path is a 9-week mindfulness programme led by Tarja Moles (“the Instructor”). It offers practical, gentle ways to cultivate mindfulness — both as a formal meditation practice and as part of daily life. This programme is designed for educational purposes and does not provide psychotherapy, counselling, or medical advice.


2. Your Wellbeing

Mindfulness practices can bring up a range of emotions and physical sensations. For most people, these are mild and temporary. However, if you:

  • have experienced severe emotional or psychological difficulties in the past,
  • are currently under the care of a doctor, therapist, or other professional, or
  • are taking medication for mental health conditions,

If at any point during the programme you feel distressed, overwhelmed, or unsure, you are encouraged to pause, take care of yourself, and seek appropriate professional support if needed. Please also contact the Instructor.


3. Liability

By joining the programme, you understand and accept that:

  • You are responsible for your own wellbeing during and after the sessions.
  • The Instructor cannot accept responsibility for any injury, mental distress, or other issues that may arise from your participation.
  • This programme is not a substitute for medical care, therapy, or other professional treatment.


4. Confidentiality

What is shared within the group is treated as confidential and should not be discussed outside the programme. There are a few legal exceptions where confidentiality cannot be maintained, including:

  • If you are at risk of harming yourself or others
  • If you disclose information about the abuse of a child, elder, or vulnerable person
  • If disclosure is required by law

Please note that online communications are never 100% secure. While reasonable measures are taken to protect your privacy, the Instructor cannot guarantee the confidentiality of data shared via email, video calls, or third-party services (e.g. Zoom, BrainCert, Stripe, SendFox).


5. Recordings and Access

All sessions will be recorded to support the smooth running of the programme and for technical purposes.

After each session, only the teaching and guided meditation segments will be made available for participants to revisit via the course platform.

Group sharing and discussion segments are never made available afterwards, to ensure participants’ privacy and create a safe space for open conversation.

You will have 1 year’s access to the teaching and meditation recordings.

If any recordings are used for educational or commercial purposes in future, your image, voice, and identifying details will be removed.


6. Payments

For this round, The Mindful Path is offered on a flexible donation basis:

  • The suggested donation is £95
  • You may choose to contribute a lower amount if needed
  • No questions asked and no explanations required

Your place is confirmed once your donation has been received via Stripe.


7. Withdrawing from the Programme

You are under no obligation to engage in any practices or exercises that don’t feel right for you.

You may withdraw from the programme at any time. If you decide to do so, please inform the Instructor.

Donations are generally non-refundable unless exceptional circumstances apply.
